Cam Tavan Sendromu Kariyer Engelleri Cinsiyet Ayrımcılığı İnsan Kaynakları Yöneticisi
The purpose of this study is to identify the factors that lead to the glass ceiling syndrome and to reveal the views of the human resource managers regarding the strategies for overturning glass ceilings. Within the scope of qualitative research design, a phenomenological approach has been adopted. According to the results of the research, it is determined that the glass ceiling is an individual obstacle caused by people, and the social factor is the most important factor. In addition, the majority of interviewed human resources managers stated that the glass ceiling is not unique to female employees, and that all employees have a career disability. The most important strategy in glass ceiling overlay is personal development in an individual sense, giving equal work and education opportunities to employees in an organizational sense.
