“DATAİZM”E KARŞI VERİ GÜVENLİĞİ VE ADALETİ

Öz

Dataizm ve veri adaleti, teknoloji dünyasında birbirine zıt iki paradigma haline gelmiş durumdadır. Dataizm genellikle kişisel verilerin toplanması ve optimizasyonunun aralıksız takibiyle ilişkilendirilir. Veriye dayalı karar vermenin, otomasyonun ve teknolojinin toplumsal ilerlemeye yol açacağı anlayışıyla karakterize edilir. Bu nedenle dataizm savunucuları, verimlilik, kolaylık ve yenilik umuduyla ne kadar çok veri toplanır ve işlenirse hayatlarımızın o kadar iyi olacağını iddia etmektedirler. Fakat veri adaleti anlayışı, ilkesiz bir veri toplayıcılığına kesinlikle tezat bir fikri savunmaktadır. Veri ekosisteminde adalet, eşitlik ve bireysel hakların ve mahremiyetin korunması ilkelerine dayanması gerektiğini vurgulamaktadır. Dolayısıyla veri adaleti savunucuları, veriyle ilgili eşitsizliklerin, algoritmalardaki önyargı ve ayrımcılık potansiyelinin ve bireylerin refahı pahasına gözetim veya kâr amacıyla verilerin kötüye kullanılmasının ciddiyetle dikkate alınması gerektiğini vurgulamaktadırlar. Bu makalede, veri merkezli yaklaşımların etik ve sosyal sonuçlarını irdeleyerek bu iki paradigma arasındaki gerilimi araştırılmıştır. Veriye dayalı verimlilik ile bireysel ve toplumsal hakların korunması arasındaki dengeler hakkında soruları gündeme getirilmiştir. Verilerin hayatımızda giderek daha merkezi bir rol oynadığı bir çağda, vericilik veya veri toplayıcılığa karşı veri adaleti perspektiflerini anlamak ve uzlaştırmak, daha adil ve sorumlu bir veri geleceğini şekillendirmek için hayati önem taşımaktadır.
