This study was designed to investigate the relationship between balance parameter and daily life activities, quality of life, and emotional state parameters in elderly individuals who have had COVID-19. A total of 52 elderly individuals over the age of 65, who were treated in the pandemic service and diagnosed with COVID-19, were included in the study just prior to discharge. The average age of the individuals was 75.82±7.71 years. The Berg Balance Scale and Timed Up and Go Test were used to evaluate balance parameters, the Functional Independence Measure (FIM) was used to evaluate activities of daily living, the World Health Organization Quality of Life Instrument-Older Adults Module was used to evaluate quality of life, and the Fear of COVID-19 Scale and Geriatric Depression Scale were used to evaluate emotional status. In our study, significant relationships were found between balance parameters and daily life activities, quality of life, and emotional state in elderly individuals who had COVID-19. It was observed that individuals with higher balance scores had better score in daily life activities and quality of life. Individuals with higher balance scores also had lower depression scores.
