This paper examines the relationships between carbon emissions, renewable energy, and economic growth in BRICS-T countries. The main objective of the study is to understand the interactions between these factors and reveal the dynamics that are important for environmental sustainability. According to the findings of the study, there is no direct causality between carbon emissions and economic growth. Unidirectional causality is found from carbon emissions to renewable energy. Moreover, the unidirectional causality from economic growth to renewable energy suggests that economic growth stimulates renewable energy investments in BRICS-T countries. In conclusion, the findings of this study emphasize that BRICS-T countries should focus particularly on renewable energy policies to achieve their environmental sustainability goals.
