Web-based education methods are used for the patients and their relatives in detecting, preventing and controlling the symptoms in the early period of patients with hematological malignancies, and for the patients to spend this period in the most comfortable and smooth way. It is very important for patients to gain symptom self-management through web-based education.
The purpose of this review is to examine the importance of web-based education in symptom management in patients with hematological malignancy.
The screening was made without any year limitation on the subject and eight studies were reached.
In studies in which attempts are examined; In web-based educational applications, there are positive suggestions for patients to manage their symptoms, to coordinate comprehensive treatment programs and medication plans. These initiatives allow patients to test alternative solutions, review data and find reference best practices during problem solving. In addition, it encourages patients to learn continuously and ensure that they receive comprehensive care. It is reported that web-based education contributes positively to patients' updating their knowledge. For this reason, as healthcare professionals, nurses are recommended to control the symptoms of patients diagnosed with hematological malignancy through web-based education during the COVID-19 pandemic process, and strengthen symptom self-management by informing patients and increasing their awareness.
