The aim of the study is to identify employees’ levels of happiness, to test whether their happiness
levels vary depending on demographic variables, to measure the contagion of happiness and to
determine whether socialization with colleagues and celebrations at work play an intermediate role in
the transmission. It is estimated that the research is very valuable, especially in working environments,
and will contribute in terms of setting up environments that can be provided for the spread of
happiness. The research was designed as a quantitative study. The study’s sample is composed of
healthcare professionals. The research had 332 health professionals as participants. The happiness and
happiness sub-dimension of emotional contagion scales, as well as the “socializing with employees”
and “celebration at work” sub-dimensions of the fun at work scale, were employed in the context of
the study. The demographic characteristics of the participants and happiness, and happiness subdimension of emotional contagion, socializing with employees, and workplace celebrations were
demonstrated to differ significantly in the research. The study’s findings revealed that happiness is
contagious among health workers and that socializing with employees has a mediating effect, but
celebrations at the workplace do not have a mediating effect on the contagion of happiness.
