Öz

Akran zorbalığı toplumumuzda yaygınlaşarak kritik bir halk sağlığı sorununa dönüşmektedir. Akran zorbalığı, birine duygusal veya fiziksel olarak zarar vermek olarak tanımlanır. Tanımlamak için önemli kriterleri vardır; sistematik olarak devam etmesi, güç dengesizliğine sahip olması, kastlı olması. Zorbalığı deneyimlemek, ciddi sağlık etkileri olan yıkıcı bir ilişki sorunudur. Zorbalığın zorba ve kurban üzerindeki etkileri kapsamlı olabilir. Zorbalığı deneyimleyen hem mağdurun hem zorbanın okul başarısı, sosyal ilişkileri, psikolojik sağlığı ve fiziksel sağlığı olumsuz etkilenmektedir. Çocukluk ve ergenlik döneminde yaşanan travmanın ötesinde, zorbalığın etkileri yetişkinlikte de devam edebilir. Bu makalede zorbalık tanımı yapılarak zorba ve mağdur üzerindeki etkileri değerlendirilmektedir.
