The study examined the mediating effect of rumination on the relationship between perceived stress, work centrality and organizational vigor. The data for this research was collected from nurses employed at various hospital and private heltcare facilities located in İstanbul. The survey method was used in the study, which was carried out with the participation of 223 nurses in total. SPSS 21 package programme and SPSS Process were used to analyse the data. The research findings indicate a significant positive relationship between nurses’ perceived stress and rumination. There was no significant association observed between perceived stress and work centrality. A significant correlation was observed between rumination and work centrality with rumination playing a mediating role in the association between perceived stress and work centrality. In conclusion, there was a negative relationship between perceived stress and organizational vigor, whereas no significant relationship was found between rumination and organizational vigor.
