Osman Özkaraca was born in Aydın in 1979. He is currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Information Systems Engineering at Mugla Sitki Kocman University. He holds a BSc in Electrical Education (2002) from Gazi University, a MSc in Electrical Education (2009) and a PhD in Electronics and Computer Education (2013) both from Gazi University.

His academic works on optimization, machine learning and biomedical systems. His research interests are in artificial intelligence applications. His publications have appeared in leading academic journals including Renewable and Sustainable Energy Review, IET Signal Processing, Energy Conversion and Management, Energy.
