Meckel Divertikülünün Yol Açtığı İnce Barsak Volvulusu; Olgu Sunumu

Year 2017, Volume: 2 Issue: 3, 89 - 92, 28.12.2018

Abstract

Volvular Small Bowel Obstruction Due to Meckel's Diverticulum; A Case Report

Year 2017, Volume: 2 Issue: 3, 89 - 92, 28.12.2018

Abstract

Meckel's diverticulum (MD) is the most common congenital abnormality of the gastrointestinal tract and found in approximately 2% of the population. Most patients are asymptomatic, the most common complications are inflammation, hemorrhage and intestinal obstruction. Here we present a volvulus case that is extremely rare complication of MD, in a 3 years old boy. This complication should be considered in the differential diagnosis when a child presents with the clinical and imaging features of intestinal obstruction
