Dinleme becerisini aktif hale getirme

Abstract

Bu çalışma öğrencilerin pasif olan dinleme becerilerini çok sayıda dinleme çalışması yaparak aktif hale getirme konusunu işler. Dinleme beceresi iletişimde önemli bir yere sahiptir. Yabancı Dil olarak öğretilen İngilizce sınıflarında en zor becerilerden biridir. Öğrencilerin bu becerisini bir yıl içerisinde en azından ihtiyaçlarını karşılayacak seviyeye getirmelerine yardımcı olmaya çalışıyoruz. Yıl sonunda, öğrencilerin ilk önce kelimeleri ayırt ettikleri, sonra not alma tekniklerini öğrendikleri ve son olarak dinledikleri metni anladıkları gözlemlenmiştir. Öğrenciler metinde geçen kelimeleri bilmeme, telafuzu yanlış anlama ve arka fondan gelen sesler gibi problemlerle karşılaşmaktadırlar. Bütün bunların üstesinden gelmek için, öğretmenler anlaşılır direktifler vererek ve sınıfta sessizlik sağlayarak öğrencilerini yönlendirirler. Tüm bu önlemler neticesinde, hedefler gerçekleştirilir ve başarılı bir dinleme yapılmış olur.

Activated process: listening

Abstract

This study focuses on activating students’ listening skills by means of practice. Listening has an important role in communication. It is one of the most difficult skills in EFL classes. We help students to improve listening comprehension at least needed knowledge in a year. In the end of the year, it is observed that students gain information to distinguish firstly words, and then learn how to take notes and finally comprehend the texts they hear. Students face many problems, such as not knowing the words in context, misundertanding in pronunciation, and competing with the background noise. In order to avoid all these, teachers guide students by giving them clear instructions and keeping the classroom atmosphere silent. After all these precautions, the objectives are achieved and successful listening comprehension is fully performed
