The Importance of the Due Diligence Investigations: Failed Mergers and Acquisitions of the United States' Companies

Abstract

Mergers and acquisitions have become a favored method for expanding a business, both nationally and internationally. Companies compete globally for the opportunity to acquire or merge with other businesses. This frenzy of activity includes multi-billion dollar transactions, like HCA or AOL and Time Warner, as well as smaller midmarket acquisitions.
