DEVELOPING VISUAL PRESENTATION ATTITUDE RUBRIC: VALIDITY AND RELIABILITY STUDY

Abstract

Abstract The aim of this study is to develop visual presentation attitude rubric which is valid and reliable for the 4th grade students. 218 students took part in this study from Engin Can Güre which located in Istanbul, Esenler. While preparing this assessment tool with 34 criterias , 6 university lecturers view have been taken who are experts in their field. The answer key sheet has 4 (likert )type options. The rubric has been first tested by Kaiser-Meyer Olkin and Bartletts tests and then factor analyze technique has been used to analyze the validity of the rubric. The result of Kaiser-Meyer-Olkin test was .897 which was higher than the minimum level of .50 so it showed that it was appropriate to do factor analysis . Bartletts test result was also appropriate and acceppted to build a rubric framework. 1 is accepted as an Eigen rate for factor analysis. In the rubric, 8 factors has came out of the Eigen rate1. Total of criteria, failing criteria and individuating criteria are accepted on level of .001 and this the proof of the reliability of the visual presentation rubric s criterias.
