A new species is described and illustrated based on adult females viz. Favognathus concavum sp. nov., collected from soil and litter under Prunus spinosa (Rosaceae) in Afyonkarahisar province, Türkiye. This new species differs from all known Favognathus species in that its prosternal apron is concave-shaped. A key is provided to the species of the genus Favognathus from Türkiye.
