Aim & Scope

Art, Design and Cultural Studies Journal is an internationally peer-reviewed journal that focuses on academic research in the fields of art, design and cultural studies, examining artistic, aesthetic and cultural productions with an interdisciplinary approach. The journal aims to contribute to the development of academic discourses by addressing art and design not only as an aesthetic practice but also in their social, cultural, historical and political contexts.

The journal's main research areas include the historical development of art and design, contemporary cultural dynamics, the relationship between fashion and gastronomy and art and identity politics, the impact of new media and digital arts on cultural production, creative industries, and cultural economy. Deepening analyses in the field of cultural studies, historical perspectives, aesthetic theories, and applied art studies are the basic components of the journal's content.

The interaction of art with social and political contexts, the theoretical basis of design, and gastronomy as a cultural expression are addressed through interdisciplinary approaches, contributing to academic discussions. Examining how culture and art production evolves with today's rapidly changing technological and economic conditions, as well as its aesthetic and intellectual processes, is among the journal's fundamental missions.

The journal encourages academic contributions from different fields, such as visual culture studies, art history, fashion and textile studies, gastronomy and culinary arts, media and digital arts. It aims to contribute to the academic development of these fields by supporting innovative ideas produced at the intersection of art and design disciplines.
