Therefore, it is crucial that all parties involved in the publication process (authors, readers and researchers, publishers, reviewers, and editors) comply with ethical standards.

Adıyaman Theology Journal expects all stakeholders to adhere to the ethical responsibilities outlined below.

The ethical duties and responsibilities adopted by Adıyaman Theology Journal have been prepared based on the guidelines and policies of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).

Scientific Research and Publication Ethics Violations:
Plagiarism: Presenting another’s ideas, methods, data, practices, writings, figures, or works in whole or in part as one's own without proper scientific citation.

Fabrication: Producing data that does not exist, organizing or altering a submitted or published work based on false data, reporting or publishing such data, or presenting an unperformed research study as if it had been conducted.

Falsification: Manipulating research records and obtained data; presenting methods, devices, or materials that were not used in the research; excluding data that does not fit research hypotheses; manipulating data/results to fit relevant theories or assumptions; altering research outcomes to benefit supporting individuals or organizations.

Duplicate publication: Submitting multiple works with the same research results as separate publications during academic evaluations.

Salami slicing: Fragmenting the results of a research study inappropriately to publish multiple pieces without cross-referencing.

Unjust authorship: Including individuals who did not contribute significantly, excluding those who did, altering the author order without justification, removing contributors from later editions, or including influential individuals without active contribution.

Other ethical violations: Failing to disclose support and contributions in funded research; violating ethical rules in human and animal studies; disrespecting patient rights; misusing confidential information from peer-reviewed studies; misusing allocated research resources; making baseless and malicious allegations of ethical violations. (Based on YÖK Scientific Research and Publication Ethics Directive, Article 8)
