DİŞ ETİ GÜLÜMSEMESİNİN TEDAVİSİNDE BOTULİNUM TOKSİN UYGULAMASI: 2 OLGU SUNUMU

Abstract

Diş eti gülümsemesi, estetik gülümsemeyi olumsuz etkileyen durumlardan biridir. Diş eti gülümsemesi; kas, dişeti ve iskeletsel faktörlerin ayrı veya bir arada olduğu etyolojiye sahiptir. Kısa veya hiperaktivitesi fazla olan üst dudak, kısa klinik kron boyları, dentoalveolar ekstrüzyon, gecikmiş pasif erüpsiyon, maksillanın vertikal gelişiminin fazla olması, gingival hiperplazi, diş eti gülümsemesine neden olan faktörlerdir. Diş eti gülümsemesinin tedavi yöntemleri etyolojisine göre değişmektedir. Bu makalede, üst dudak kasları hiperaktivitesi yüksek olan iki hastada, diş eti gülümsemesinin minimal invaziv uygulama olan botulinum toksini ile tedavisi açıklanmıştır.
