Hemşirelik son sınıf öğrencilerinin adli hemşireliğe ilişkin bilgi düzeylerinin belirlenmesi

Abstract

AMAÇ: Bu araştırma hemşirelik son sınıf öğrencilerinin adli hemşireliğe ilişkin bilgi düzeylerini belirlemek amacıyla yapılmıştır.Yöntem: Çalışma nitel araştırma deseninde tasarlanmıştır. Araştırmaların verileri bir üniversitenin hemşirelik bölümünde son sınıfta okuyan 88 öğrenciden elde edilmiştir. Verilerin toplanmasında yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme tekniği kullanılmıştır. Araştırma verilerinin değerlendirilmesi içerik analizi ile yapılmıştır.BULGULAR: Çalışmada öğrencilerin adli hemşireliğin kavram olarak ne anlama geldiğine ilişkin bilgi sahibi oldukları ortaya çıkmıştır. Görüşme yapılan öğrencilerin çoğunluğunun adli hemşireliğin tanımı ve amacını, rol ve sorumluluklarına ilişkin uygun yanıtlar verdikleri belirlenmiştir. Öğrencilerin genel olarak adli hemşirenin çalışma alanları ve bilgi sahibi olması gereken konulara ilişkin bilgileri olduğu söylenebilir. Araştırmaya katılan öğrencilerin yarıdan fazlası adli hemşirenin uygulamaları ile adli olayın sonuçlarına etki edebileceğini belirtirken, nasıl etkileyebileceğine yönelik yeterli bilgi sahibi olmadıkları belirlenmiştir.SONUÇ: Çalışmada öğrencilerin adli hemşireliğe ilişkin istenilen düzeyde olmamakla birlikte farkındalıklarının ve bilgilerinin olduğu belirlenmiştir.

Identification of the knowledge levels of the senior students in nursing department concerning forensic nursing

Abstract

OBJECTIVE: The study has been conducted with the purpose of determining the knowledge levels of the senior students in nursing department about forensic nursing.METHODS: This study has been designed in qualitative study pattern. The data of the study have been collected from 88 senior students studying at nursing department of a university. Semistructured interview technique has been used in the collection of the data. The evaluation of the data of the study has been made with content analysis.RESULTS: It has been deduced in the study that the students have knowledge on what forensic nursing means conceptually. It has been identified that majority of students who have been included in the interview know the definition, aim, roles and responsibilities of forensic nursing. It can be stated that the students generally have knowledge on different fields of forensic nursing and about the subjects that they need to have knowledge. More than half of the students who participated in the study stated that the forensic nursing implementations may have impact upon the results of forensic cases , however it has been found out that they do not have adequate information on how such nursing can affect the findings of forensic cases.CONCLUSION: In the study, it has been revealed that the students have awareness and knowledge related forensic nursing although not at the desired level.
