Abstract

Bu çalışmada, Adli Tıp Kurumu’nda incelenen kafa travması olgularının post travmatik epilepsi açısından retrospektif değerlendirmesi yapılmıştır, incelenen 938 olgunun %1,2’sinde erken post travmatik epilepsi, %3,4’ünde ise geç post travmatik epilepsi saptanmıştır. Epilepsi saptanan olguların travma sonucu gelişen patoloji ve nöbet tipi dikkate alınarak dökümü yapılmıştır.

Post-traumatic epilepsy

Abstract

A retrospective study of the medical records of non-missile head injury cases taken from the files of the Council of Forensic Medicine of Turkey was made. Of the 938 cases which were investigated, 1.2% had early post-traumatic epilepsy PTE , and 3.4% had late PTE. Most of the cases with both early and late PTE had depressed skull fractures. Focal motor seizures were observed in 45.4% of the early PTE group and generalized seizures in 50% of the late PTE patients.
