Abstract

Yüzde sabit iz, adli tıbbi uygulamada büyük öneme sahiptir. Trafik kazası nedeniyle frontal kemikte çoklu kırık saptanmış olan olgumuz, vidalar ve plaklar kullanılarak ameliyat edilmiştir. Yüzünde belirli nedbe dokusu olmamasına rağmen alın cildinin altındaki sert fiksasyon materyallerinin bulunduğu alanlardaki kabarıklıkların yüzde sabit ize neden olduğuna karar verildi. Adli tıpta kemik kırıklarının fiksasyonu için kullanılan vidaların ve plakların yüzde sabit ize neden olabileceğini gösteren olgumuz ilginç bulunduğundan sunulması amaçlandı.

Abstract

Distinct mark on the face has an important role in forensic medicine practice. Our case has had a traffic accident resulted in multiple fractures of frontal bone who had operation by using screws and plates. Although there was no distinct scar tissue visible on his face, protuberances of the rigid fixation materials under the frontal skin area was considered as distinct mark on the face. We aim to present it as an interesting case showing screws and plates used for fixation of the bones can cause distinct mark on the face in forensic medicine.
