Abstract

Künt göğüs travmalarından sonra akut aort rüptürü oluşabilmektedir. Daha az sıklıkla da künt göğüs travmasını takip eden 3 haftalık periyottan sonra kronik posttravmatik aort psödoanevrizması gelişebilmektedir. Ülkemizde trafik kazalarına bağlı ölümler çok sık meydana gelmesine rağmen posttravmatik aort rüptürü tanısının nadiren konulabildiği gözlenmektedir. Akselerasyon deselerasyon özelliğindeki künt travmaya bağlı aort rüptürü en sık aortik istmusta oluşmaktadır. Çalışmamızda; araç dışı trafik kazası nedeni ile yaralanması sonrası sağlık merkezi başvurusu olan ve olaydan 13 gün sonra ani ölümü gerçekleşen 10 yaşındaki erkek olgunun ölümünün medikolegal yönden değerlendirme sürecinin paylaşılması amaçlandı. Elde edilen bulgular ışığında, tanı sürecindeki zorluklar ve deneyimler tartışılmaya ve paylaşılmaya çalışıldı.

LATE PERIOD DEATH CASE DUE TO TRAUMATIC AORTIC RUPTURE

Abstract

Traumatic rupture of the aorta can occur after blunt impact to thorax. Unusual chronic posttraumatic pseudo aneurysm of the thoracic aorta can be seen in three week period after a traumatic incident. Although deaths due to traffic accidents are observed frequently in Turkey, postraumatic rupture of the aorta is diagnosed rarely. Traumatic aortic rupture can be observed more common in aortic isthmus after acceleration decelaration blunt injuries. In our study, we aimed to discuss medicolegal evaluation process of a 10 year old male pedestrian whose sudden death had been reported 13 days after a traffic accident. By the help of the findings, we reviewed and discussed the difficulties and experiences in postmortem diagnosis process.
