Abstract

Adli TIp ~all§malan i~erisinde zehirlenmelerin ayn bir onemi varrnr. Karbonmonoksit zehirlenmesine
(COZ) bagh OHimler, diger toksik madde ahmma bagh oHimlere nazaran daha stk goriilmektedir. Bu
~all~mada, 8 Yllltk bir siire i~erisinde Adli TIp Kurumu Morg ihtisas Dairesince otopsileri yapllan ve orijini
yangma bagh olmayan 381 COZ'si olgusu ara§ttnlml§tlr.
istanbul'da yapllan adli otopsiler i~inde COZ'ne bagh olgular % 3'Iiik bir oran olu~turmaktadlr. Olgulann
% 76.6'sl erkek olup, % 6S'i 11-40 ya§ grubunda saptanml§tu. Y~ ortalamasl 32.6 bulunan olgulann en slk
goriildiigii ya~ dekadl ise 21-30'dur. Oliimlerin ~ogu Ia§ aylarmda meydana gelmi§tir. Bu oHimler % 80'Iik bir
oranla evlerde meydana gelmektedir. Olgulann % 13.6'smda alkol saptanml§ olup, letal karboksihemoglobin
(CO-Hb) diizeyi ortalama % 63.2 olarak tespit edilmi~tir.
