Writing Rules
1. Language and Article Types
Adıyaman University International TÖMER Language Journal accepts manuscripts written in Turkish and English. The journal publishes original research articles, review articles, and book reviews.
Manuscripts submitted to the journal must be original, must not have been published previously, and must not be under review by another journal, book, or edited volume.
2. Submission
All manuscripts must be submitted through the DergiPark system. Manuscripts submitted by e-mail are not accepted for evaluation. Authors are responsible for uploading all required files, including the manuscript file, title page, similarity report, ethics committee approval document when required, copyright/license form, and other supplementary documents requested by the editorial office.
3. Blind Review File
Since the journal applies a double-blind peer review process, the manuscript file must not contain any information that reveals the identity of the author(s). Author names, institutional affiliations, ORCID IDs, e-mail addresses, acknowledgements, project/funding information, and similar identifying information must be included only in the separate title page.
4. Title Page
The title page must include the following information:
Title of the manuscript in the language of the article
Title of the manuscript in the second language
Full name(s) of the author(s)
Institutional affiliation(s)
E-mail address(es)
ORCID ID(s)
Corresponding author information
Funding/support information, if any
Conflict of interest statement
Ethics committee approval information, if required
5. Title, Abstract, and Keywords
The title must be clear, concise, and compatible with the content of the study.
Each manuscript must include an abstract and keywords in both Turkish and English. Abstracts should be between 150 and 250 words and should clearly present the aim, method, findings, and conclusion of the study. Citations, tables, figures, and footnotes should not be included in the abstract.
Each manuscript must include 3 to 5 keywords in Turkish and English.
For manuscripts written in Turkish, an extended abstract in English is required. The extended abstract should generally include the aim, theoretical background, method, findings, discussion, and conclusion of the study.
For manuscripts written in English, a Turkish abstract is required.
6. Main Text
Research articles should generally include the following sections:
Introduction
Theoretical/Conceptual Framework or Literature Review
Method
Findings
Discussion
Conclusion and Recommendations
References
Appendices, if any
Review articles should present a systematic, critical, and original evaluation of the relevant literature.
Book reviews should include complete bibliographic information about the reviewed book and should provide a scholarly evaluation of its contribution to the field.
7. Formatting
Manuscripts should be prepared in Microsoft Word format.
Recommended formatting:
Page size: A4
Font: Times New Roman
Main text font size: 12 pt
Line spacing: 1.5
Margins: 2.5 cm on all sides
Paragraph alignment: justified
Page numbers: included
Tables and figures: numbered consecutively and cited in the text
Research articles should generally be between 5,000 and 9,000 words, including references. Review articles may be between 4,000 and 10,000 words. Book reviews should generally be between 1,500 and 3,000 words.
8. Citation and References
Adıyaman University International TÖMER Language Journal uses APA 7 style for in-text citations and references. Authors must ensure that every source cited in the text is included in the reference list and that every source in the reference list is cited in the text.
References must be listed alphabetically at the end of the manuscript. DOI numbers should be provided where available.
9. Tables and Figures
Tables and figures must be numbered consecutively and must have clear titles. They should be placed in the relevant part of the text. Authors are responsible for obtaining permission for copyrighted visual materials, scales, questionnaires, photographs, or any third-party content used in their manuscripts.
10. Similarity Report
Authors must upload a similarity report during submission. The similarity rate should not exceed 20%, excluding references and direct quotations. The final decision regarding similarity is made by the editorial office.
11. Ethics Committee Approval
Ethics committee approval is required for studies involving data collected from participants through surveys, interviews, focus groups, observations, experiments, or similar qualitative or quantitative methods; studies involving human or animal subjects; and studies using personal or retrospective data.
When ethics committee approval is required, the name of the ethics committee, date, and approval number must be stated in the method section and on the first or last page of the manuscript. The ethics committee approval document must also be uploaded to the DergiPark system.
12. Declarations
At the end of the manuscript, authors must include the following statements where applicable:

13. Editorial Review
Manuscripts that do not comply with the journal’s aim, scope, ethical principles, publication policy, or writing rules may be returned to the author(s) before peer review. The editorial office reserves the right to request corrections at any stage of the publication process.
