Is Isolated GGT Elevation a sign of pancreatic cancer?
Abstract
SUMMARY
GGT (gamma-glutamyltranspeptidase)is a biochemical test that is used to diagnose and treat liver diseases and gives information about liver functions. It is a sensitive and specific test that firstly ascends in alcoholic liver disorders.GTT can be measured as high in different situations. A 72-year-old female patient was diagnosed with pancreatic adenocarcinoma due to isolated GGT elevation. The patients with isolated GGT elevation should be followed up seriously and their treatment should be made absolutely.
