Factors Affecting Child Development Students' Views and Attitudes towards Special Education Teaching

Abstract

It is one of the fields where the graduates of child development can work after graduation. It is a special education area. In this study, it was aimed that child development students become special education teachers. It is aimed to determine the factors affecting their opinions and attitudes towards Descriptive In the study in the survey model, the study group was made available to them online. Child Development A total of 177 students, including 106 undergraduate and 77 associate degree students has created. A questionnaire form and Special Education Teaching Staff were used to collect the data. The Attitude Towards Occupation Scale was used. Frequency and percentage in data analysis distributions and classification analysis, t test and one-way analysis of variance and CHAID analysis used. As a result, the majority of students work in the field of special education. It was determined that he did not want. Students have to work in the field of special education Undecided about what type of disability they will work with in case of that they can work with learning disability/mental retardation, autism and all disability groups they have stated. In the study, child development students' participation in the special education teaching profession The most important factor affecting their attitudes towards that students who do internship in special education have special education attitudes were found to be more positive.
