Year 2023, Volume: 1 Issue: 2, 30 - 34, 22.06.2023

Abstract

The aim of this study is to determine the educational needs of children who are being treated in the pediatric hematology clinic and cannot continue their education, and the barriers to school success from the perspective of mothers and nurses. A case study was used in the research method of this study. Research data were collected with semi-structured interview forms and data analysis was carried out with descriptive analysis technique. As a result of the research, it was observed that the education of children with cancer who could not continue their education due to their treatment was disrupted. It has been determined that branch teachers and equipment that can be provided from outside are needed, and by eliminating these deficiencies, children's educational problems can be prevented and at the same time it will be a source of morale and motivation for children with cancer.

Hastanede Yatan Kanser Tanılı Çocukların Annelerinin ve Bakım Veren Hemşirelerin Çocuğun Eğitim Süreçlerine İlişkin Görüşleri

Year 2023, Volume: 1 Issue: 2, 30 - 34, 22.06.2023

Abstract

Bu araştırmanın amacı çocuk hematoloji kliniğinde tedavi görmekte olup eğitimlerine devam edemeyen çocukların eğitimdeki ihtiyaçlarını, okul başarılarının karşısındaki engelleri anneler ve hemşireler gözüyle belirlemektir. Bu çalışmanın araştırma yönteminde durum çalışması kullanılmıştır. Yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme formları ile araştırma verileri toplanmış, betimsel analiz tekniği ile veri analizi yapılmıştır. Araştırmanın sonucunda tedavileri nedeniyle eğitimlerine devam edemeyen kanserli çocukların eğitimlerinin oldukça aksadığı görülmüştür. Dışarıdan sağlanabilecek branş öğretmenlerine, araç-gereçlere ihtiyaç duyulduğu, bu eksikliklerin giderilmesiyle de çocukların eğitim aksaklıklarının önüne geçilebileceği aynı zamanda kanserli çocuklara moral-motivasyon kaynağı olacağı belirlenmiştir.
