The principle of Ihtiyat, which emerged as a means of acting according to Shari’a in situations of uncertainty and doubt, has an important place in the Islamic jurisprudence. In this regard, Islamic jurists, when rendering a legal verdict on a particular issue, consider choosing the safest or least compromising option according to Shari’a based on this principle when the available evidence is insufficient or uncertain. Our aim is to introduce a book that will serve as a guide for beginners such as undergraduate students who would like to see the principle of ihtiyat or ihtiyat closely. Therefore, this study will review the book entitled The Principle of Ihtiyat (Precaution) in Islamic Law, which aims to open a door for those who are willing to understand the principle of ihtiyat.
