Güneydoğu Anadolu Bölgesi’nde Çanak-Çömleksiz Neolitik Dönem’e Tarihlenen Yeni Yerleşim Yerleri: Şika Rika Yerleşimleri ve Kuzey Habur Vadisi Neolitikleşme Süreci.

Abstract

Güneydoğu Anadolu neolitikleşme süreci üzerine son yıllarda çok önemli çalışmalar yapılmaktadır. Bu çalışmaların uzun yıllar boyunca Fırat Havzası ve Dicle Vadisi gibi nehir kenarları üzerine yoğunlaşmış olduğu görülmektedir. Bu duruma ek olarak son yıllarda Şanlıurfa Bölgesi’nde yapılan çalışmalar iki nehir ortasında kalan dağlık bölgenin neolitikleşme süreci üzerine önemli bilgiler vermektedir. Mardin ili Artuklu, Kızıltepe, Yeşilli ve Nusaybin ilçeleri Pleistosen ve Erken Holosen Dönem Arkeolojik Yüzey araştırması projesi kapsamında 2022-024 yılları arasında yürütülen çalışmalarda Kuzey Habur Bölgesi’nde Neolitik Çağ’a tarihlenen çok sayıda yerleşim yeri tespit edilmiştir. Mardin ili Artuklu ilçesinde bulunan Bekçiler Mevkii’nde tespit edilen yerleşim yerleri de bu bağlamda Güneydoğu Anadolu ve Kuzey Mezopotamya Bölgesi’nin önemli bir parçası olan Kuzeydoğu Habur Vadisi neolitikleşme süreci üzerine yeni bilgiler vermektedir. Bu yeni çalışma kapsamında tespit edilen Şika Rika ve diğer yerleşim yerleri kuşkusuz Güneydoğu Anadolu Neolitikleşme sürecini aynı Taş Tepeler Projesi’nde olduğu gibi nehir kenarlarından uzak olan karstik alanlar üzerinden yeniden incelenmesine olanak sağlamaktadır.

A new settlement dated to the Pre-Pottery Neolithic Period in Southeastern Anatolia: Şika Rika Settlements and The Neolithisation in Northern Khabour Valley.

Abstract

Recently very important studies have been carried out on the Southeastern Anatolian neolithization process. However, it is seen that these studies have been concentrated around the Euphrates Basin and Tigris Valley for many years. During recent years, a number of studies concentrated on the Şanlıurfa region provide important information for the neolithization process of the mountainous region in the middle of two rivers. During the Pleistocene and Early Holocene period archaeological Survey of the Artuklu, Kızıltepe, Yeşilli and Nusaybin districts of Mardin province, many settlements dating to the Neolithic period were identified in the Northern Habur Region during the 2022-2024 season. These settlements identified in Bekçiler Mevkii in the Artuklu district of Mardin province also provide new information on the neolithization process of the Northeast Habur Valley, which is an important part of the Southeastern Anatolia and Northern Mesopotamia regions in this context. Şika Rica and other settlements, which are identified within the scope of this new project, undoubtedly allow the Southeast Anatolian neolithization process to be re -examined through karstic areas that are far from the river shores, similarly to the Stone Hills Project.
