Okul Öncesi Öğretmen Adaylarının Matematik Ve Matematik Öğretimine İlişkin Metaforik Algıları

Abstract

Öğretmenlerin matematik hakkındaki düşüncelerinin çocuklar ile etkileşimlerinde, zaman planlamasında, yöntem-teknik seçiminde, etkinlik seçimi ve uygulama gibi öğrenme durumlarının belirlenmesinde önemli rolü vardır. Bu noktadan hareketle çalışma, okul öncesi öğretmen adaylarının “matematik” ve “matematik öğretmek” kavramlarına yönelik algılarını metaforlar aracılığıyla incelemeyi amaçlamaktadır. Araştırmanın modeli, nitel araştırma desenlerinden olgu bilim desenine göre yürütülmüştür. Araştırmaya, 2019-2020 akademik yılında bir devlet üniversitesinin Okul Öncesi Eğitimi Anabilim Dalında öğrenim görmekte olan 132 öğretmen adayı katılmıştır. Veriler , okul öncesi öğretmen adaylarının matematik ve matematik öğretimi ile ilgili algılarını belirlemek amacıyla “Matematik …… gibidir.” Çünkü; “…...” ve “Matematik öğretmek …… gibidir.” Çünkü; “..…..” cümleleri yöneltilerek elde edilmiştir. Araştırmanın verileri içerik analizi yöntemi ile analiz edilmiştir. Elde edilen sonuçlara göre, okul öncesi öğretmen adayları “matematik” kavramına yönelik 87 metafor ve “matematik öğretmek” kavramına yönelik 101 metafor üretmiştir. Üretilen bu metaforlar ortak özellikleri ve benzetme yönleri dikkate alınarak kategorileştirilmiştir. “Matematik” kavramı için gereklilik, zor, istek/duygu, zevkli/eğlenceli, sonsuzluk ve diğer kategorileri, “Matematik öğretmek” kavramı için gereklilik, zor, emek/çaba, zevkli/eğlenceli, duygu ve diğer kategorileri olmak üzere toplam 12 kategori elde edilmiştir.
