Evaluation of the Current Floristic Status of the Göknarlık Nature Reserve (Beykoz-Istanbul) from the Perspective of the Plant Community

Abstract

In this study, it is aimed to investigate the floristic features and various parameters of the plant community in the Göknarlık (Fir woodland) Nature Reserve (Beykoz-Istanbul) in terms of both being an official protected area and presenting an interesting example of its geographical location in terms of ecological characteristics. As a result of the studies carried out to cover 4 different seasons between 2020-2021; 72 families, 175 genera and 197 vascular plant taxa belonging to these genera have been identified, and only 2 of these taxa were determined to be endemic. On the other hand, the findings were also evaluated as a guiding for the development of long-term conservation action plans for the study area, which is currently facing many anthropogenic pressure conditions.

Bitki Komünitesi Perspektifinden Göknarlık Tabiatı Koruma Alanı (Beykoz-İstanbul)’nın Güncel Floristik Durumunun Değerlendirilmesi

Abstract

Bu çalışmada, hem resmi bir korunan alan olması, hem de ekolojik özellikleri itibariyle bulunduğu coğrafik konumun ilginç bir örnek sergilemesi açısından Göknarlık Tabiatı Koruma Alanı (Beykoz-İstanbul) bünyesinde yer alan floristik özellikler ve bitki komünitesine ait çeşitli parametrelerin araştırılması hedeflenmiştir. 2020-2021 yılları arasında 4 farklı mevsimi kapsayacak şekilde yürütülen çalışmaların sonucunda; 72 familya, 175 cins ve bu cinslere ait 197 damarlı bitki taksonu tespit edilmiş olup, bu taksonlardan yalnızca 2’si endemik olduğu belirlenmiştir. Öte yandan, elde edilen bulguların mevcutta birçok antropojenik baskı koşulu ile karşı karşıya olan çalışma alanına yönelik uzun vadeli koruma eylem planlarının geliştirilmesinde yol gösterici bir rehber şeklinde değerlendirilmesi de yapılmıştır.
