Aim & Scope

Alanya Journal of Dental Sciences (AJODS) is the official scientific publication of the Faculty of Dentistry, Alanya Alaaddin Keykubat University. The aim of the journal is to contribute to the advancement of scientific knowledge and the promotion of innovative approaches across all fields of dental sciences.

AJODS aims to publish original and high-quality scientific research with relevance to clinical practice, scientific development, dental education, and public oral health at national and international levels. The journal facilitates the dissemination of current scientific knowledge and research findings and supports the publication of studies that make meaningful contributions to the field of dentistry.

AJODS encourages the publication of scientifically rigorous research conducted in accordance with appropriate scientific methodology and ethical principles, particularly studies that strengthen the connection between basic sciences and clinical practice.

Alanya Journal of Dental Sciences (AJODS) covers scientific research in the basic, clinical, and applied fields of dental sciences. The scope of the journal includes preventive and restorative dentistry, pediatric dentistry, periodontology, endodontics, orthodontics, oral and maxillofacial surgery, prosthodontics, dental materials and biomaterials, oral and maxillofacial radiology and diagnostic sciences, public oral health and epidemiology, oral biology and translational research, and emerging technologies in dentistry.

The journal also considers clinical research and clinical trials, systematic reviews and meta-analyses, comprehensive and critical review articles on specific topics in dental sciences, and case reports that provide significant clinical or scientific insights. Letters to the Editor addressing scientific comments, questions, or responses concerning articles published in AJODS are also within the journal's scope.

The scope of AJODS also encompasses emerging technologies in dentistry, including digital dentistry, artificial intelligence, machine learning, and imaging technologies applied to dental research and clinical practice.
