Bugün bitki büyüme düzenleyicileri' (BBD)'nin birçoğunun etki mekanizmasının bilinmemesi nedeniyle bitkideki rolleri tam olarak anlaşılmış değildir. Araştırıcılar son yıllarda bulunan farklı tipteki BBD'ni dikkate alarak etki şeklinde daha detaylı bir görüş ortaya koymaya çalışmışlardır. Yapılan çalışmalar etkinin protein sentezi reaksiyonlarıyla ilişkili olduğunu göstermiştir. Protein sentezi nukleustaki DNA'dan oluşturulan RNA oluşumuyla ilişkilidir. Bu çalışmalar, gen faaliyeti ve enzim sentezi faaliyetlerine dayanarak hücre biyolojisi düzeyinde hormon etkilerini açıklamaktadır. Bu derlemede, büyüme engelleyici ve geciktiricilerinin etki şekilleri günümüze kadar yapılan çalışmalar ışığında açıklanmaya çalışılmıştır.

The Mechanism of the Plant Growth Inhibitors and Reterdants

Since the mechanism of the plant growth regulators (PGR) is unknown, their roles have not been understood in plant. By taking into consideration the different types of the PGR, recently found, researchers try to put forward a detailed explanation of their mechanism. Experiments carried out by different researchers showed that the effect was related to protein synthesis reactions. As it is known, protein synthesis is related with RNA formation from DNA present in nucleus. These researches explained that hormon influence was based on gen activities and enzyme synthesis activities at celi biology level. In this review, mechanism of the plant growth inhibitors and retardants was tried to be explained in the shed of the experiments conducted so far.
