Bitki lslahında DNA Markerlarının Kullanımı

Year 1996, Volume: 9 Issue: 1, 322 - 333, 01.12.1996

Abstract

DNA Markers in Plant Improvement

Year 1996, Volume: 9 Issue: 1, 322 - 333, 01.12.1996

Abstract

DNA markers are important tools for detailed investigation of compleks questions in quantiative biology and they are beginning to be used in many aspects of plant genetics and breeding. They have been applied to basic studies of taxonomy, variability of populations and mating systems. Molecular markers are quite useful because they are naturally occuring, have very few negative effects on phenotype, and are not subject to environmental influence. It is believed that genetic markers will make a major contribution to the biological Sciences, especially agriculture, for the foreseeable future.
