The Movement and Dispersal of Plant Virus

Year 1990, Volume: 3 Issue: 1-2, 39 - 50, 01.12.1990

Abstract

Plant viruses have their own way for movement and dispersal. The necessary encounters between patogens and their hosts are due to movement of patogen or host, or a combination of the two. Few plant viruses can survive for long away from their hosts. Therefore, limited opportunities exist for plant viruses to spread and become established within plant communities without the assistance of vectors. In this review, important means of dispersal of plant viruses have been examined with examples.

Bitki Viruslarının Yayılışları ve Taşınması

Year 1990, Volume: 3 Issue: 1-2, 39 - 50, 01.12.1990
