Erkenci Karpuz (Citrullus lunatus Thunb.) Çeşitlerinde Turfandacılığı Geliştirme Teknikleri

Abstract

Erkenci karpuz (Citrullus lunatus Thunb.) çeşitlerinde turfandacılığı geliştirme teknikleri.
1986-1987 yıllarında yapılan bu çalışmada değişik tünel tiplerinin karpuzlarda verim, kalite ve farklı yetiştirme tekniklerine etkileri araştırılmıştır.
Denemede 4 tünel tipi, 4 çeşit ve iki tohum ekim ortamı incelenmiştir. Çeşit, tünel tipi ve ortam faktörleri split-split plot deneme deseninde değerlendirilmiştir. Varyans analizine göre üçlü interaksiyanlar her iki yılda da önemli bulunmuştur.
1986 yılında yapılan çalışmanın sonuçları aşağıdaki şekilde özetlenebilir.
1. Fordhook çeşidi tüm tünel tiplerinde ve tohum ekme ortamlarında en yüksek verim değerini vermiştir.
2. Yine tüm tünel tiplerinde Fordhook çeşidi naylon torbada yetiştirildiği zaman paperpota göre daha fazla verim vermiştir.
1987 yılında Yellow Baby çeşidi yerine WM 5002 çeşidi kullanılarak deneme aynen tekrarlanmıştır.
1. Fordhook çeşidi tüm tünel tiplerinde en yüksek değeri vermesine rağmen tek katlı alçak tünelde, paperpotta yetiştirilen Panonla F1 çeşidi Fordhook çeşidinden daha fazla verim vermiştir.
Refraktometreyle yapılan suda çözünebilir kuru madde değerleri Fordhook çeşidinde en yüksek değere sahip olmasına rağmen Panonia çeşidi en düşük değeri vermiştir. Diğer çeşitler ara gruplarda yer almaktadır. Yapılan çalışmada sonuç olarak Fordhook çeşidi verim ve kalite yönünden turfanda karpuz yetiştirmeye uygun bir çeşit olarak saptanmıştır.

Improvement Methods for Earliness in Early Grown Watermelons (Citrullus lanatus Thunb.)

Abstract

Improvement methods for earliness in early grown watermelons (Citrullus lanatus Thunb.).
This study was performed with the aim of determining the effects of different tunnel types on yield, quality and various growing technics of watermelon cultivars between 1986-1937.
Four tunnel types, four watermelon cultivars and two flower media were used. Cultivars were evalvated with tunnel types and flower media in split-split plat design. According to the analysis of variance interactions of cultivar x tunnel type x flower media on yield were found significant in every two years.
The results obtained in 1936 field trials are as follows:
1. Highest yields were obtained from Fordhook grown in all tunnel types and flower media.
2. On the other hand Fordhook when their seedligs were grown in Polyetilen flower media had higher yield than those when their seedlings were grown in paperpots.
The same investigation was repeated in 1987 except cv WM 5002 was used instead of cv Yellow Baby.
Results and findings in 1587:
1. Fordhook had the highest yield in all tunnel types. But Panonia cv Fgrown in paperpot in the low tunnel had greater yield than other cvs.
According to the data obtained from the investigation by teh use of refraktometer highest yield was observed' in cv Fordhook and the lowest yield was observed in Panonia.
As a result of the trials cv Fordhook gave the best results from the point of view of yield and quality compared with the other cultivars.
