Abstract

COVID 19 in Immunocompromised Patients

Year 2020, Volume: 29 Issue: Özel Sayı, 79 - 86, 19.12.2020

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has affected large populations around the world. Mortality rates have reached 15% in the elderly and / or in the presence of concomitant diseases. It is known that viral excretion is longer, the risk of pneumonia is higher, and mortality is higher in seasonal respiratory viral infections in immunosuppressive patients. Data on the course of COVID-19 in immunosuppressed patients have also accumulated over time. Since the concept of immunosuppressive patients is very wide, solid cancer, solid organ transplant, hematologic cancer and HIV-infected individuals will be discussed in this article.
