Abstract

Infertility is an important disease ,which has high prevalance in the society. In order to plan the appropriate treatment, etiopathogenesis should be well understood. Knowing the evolution of these methods, make us understand how fastly changing and promising area of research is this. Assistive reproductive technologies which are very important especially for carriers of various diseases, are also used to minimalise the adverse effects of gonadotoxic treatments and used to fertility preservation for cancer patients.

Abstract

İnfertilite, toplumda yüksek prevalansta görülen önemli bir hastalıktır. Uygun tedaviyi planlayabilmek için hastalığın etyopatogenezi iyice bilinmelidir. Etyolojik nedenlere göre çeşitli tedavi yöntemleri mevcuttur. Tarihsel süreç içerisinde bu yöntemlerin gelişimi bilmek, bu alanın ne kadar hızlı gelişen ve gelecek vaad eden bir alan olduğunu anlamamızı sağlar. Kalıtsal hastalık taşıyıcısı aileler için önemli bir yere sahip olan yardımcı üreme teknikleri, aynı zamanda kanser hastalıklarının tedavisi gibi gonadotoksik tedavilerinin bu olası istenmeyen etkilerini de minimalize etmekte ve fertilite koruyucu olarak da kullanılmaktadır.
