Neurological Complications in Child with Chronic Renal Failure

Abstract

Congenital uremic encephalopathy, progressive dialysis encephalopathy, Wernicke encefalopathy, headache, seizures because of dialysis, disequilibrium syndrome, cerebral hemorrhage and uremic neuropathy are the neurologic complications seen in child with chronic renal failure. Here it is aimed to discuss these complications with literature, and to emphasize the importance of evaluation of patients with these aspects.

Kronik Böbrek Yetmezliği Olan Çocuklarda Nörolojik Komplikasyonlar

Abstract

Kronik böbrek yetmezliği olan çocuklarda, konjenital üremik ensefalopati, progresif dializ ensefalopatisi, Wernicke ensefalopatisi, başağrısı, dialize bağlı gelişen nöbetler, disequilibrium sendromu, serebral kanama ve üremik nöropati görülen nörolojik komplikasyonlar arasında yer alır. Literatür eşliğinde bu komplikasyonlar tartışılarak, hastaların kontrollerde bu açıdan değerlendirilmesinin önemi vurgulanmak istendi.
