Abstract
Several factors have been identified in breast carcinoma which affect the biologic behavior, therapy and the prognosis of the tumor. Among these, c-erbB-2 (HER-2/neu) oncogene encodes a transmembrane tyrosine kinase receptor with extensive homology to the Epidermal Growth Factor receptor. In this study, we discuss the prognostic role of c-erbB-2 oncoprotein overexpression in breast carcinoma with and without other parameters on the base of literature.

Abstract
Meme karsinomunda, tümörün biyolojik davranışını, tedavi ve prognozunu belirleyen çeşitli parametreler tanımlanmıştır. Bunların içerisinde c-erbB-2 (HER-2/neu), Epidermal Büyüme Faktör reseptörüne benzeyen, hücre membranında tirozin kinaz reseptörünü kodlayan bir onkogendir. Bu çalışmada, meme karsinomlarında, c-erbB-2 onkoprotein ekspresyonunun, tek başına ve diğer parametreler ile birlikte prognostik önemi literatür eşliğinde tartışılmıştır.
