Altay Journal of Strategic Studies (ALSAD) is a national, peer-reviewed scientific journal that aims to subject the diverse fields and perspectives of the Turkic world to a critical analysis grounded in the social sciences and to facilitate the production of high-quality, contemporary intellectual and academic work.
The journal’s objective is to provide an open-access academic platform where researchers from around the globe can share and discuss studies in the fields of politics, economics, culture, and sociology. Our journal encompasses all disciplines within the social sciences and humanities. It seeks to foster the generation of new and original ideas in all works that contribute to the academic literature. Through this mission, the journal establishes a high-quality resource, featuring impactful social science research, that serves a wide audience of followers, academics, and students via open access.
Our journal, which encourages critical perspectives among researchers, aims to contribute to the body of knowledge in the field and help researchers advance their work by publishing high-quality scientific studies from scholars of diverse academic schools of thought, following the completion of a double-blind peer-review process.
Launched in 2024, our journal is published twice a year (in June and December). Manuscripts submitted to our journal must not have been published elsewhere or submitted for publication elsewhere. Upon passing through initial administrative screening, manuscripts submitted for publication are evaluated by field editors for scientific competence. Subsequently, a blind peer-review process is conducted. If the reviewers' reports are favorable, the study is published upon the decision of the editorial board; if one reviewer submits a negative report, the manuscript is sent to a third reviewer. In such cases, the decision regarding publication is based on the third reviewer's assessment. Studies approved for publication are placed in the publication queue. Authors are required to address any requests for corrections or improvements communicated by the journal board.
Authors do not receive royalty payments for studies published in our journal.
