AMİSOS Journal aims to contribute to the knowledge of social sciences by publishing national and international scientific studies in the fields of Social Sciences.

As the subject of the journal, Paleoanthropology, Physianthropology, Prehistory, Protohistory, Near East Archeology, Lithic, Flint, Obsidian, Use-Wear Analysis, Experimental Archeology, Classical Archeology, Anatolian and Near Eastern Archeology, Ancient History, Hittitology, Sumerology, Latin Language and Literature, Greek Language and Literature, Childhood and Child Archaeology, Anthropological Archaeology, Settlement Archeology, Underwater Archeology, Archaeometallurgy, Archaeozoology, Archaeobotany, Byzantine Art, Ottoman Art, European Art, Numismatics, History of Architecture, Restoration and Conservation, Museum Studies. It is an international peer-reviewed journal that includes related, related or helpful topics and related comments, approaches and theories.

AMİSOS Journal; As of 2016, it is eligible for the status of “Peer-Reviewed Journal”; It is published twice a year, in June and December. It can also be published as a Special Issue with the decision of the Editorial Board.

The Amisos Journal

The Amisos Journal is a peer-reviewed and refereed international journal published biannually (June - December). Decisions regarding publication, content, scope and formation of the journal are taken by the chairman of the editorial board in line with the proposals from the members of the editorial board.

Scope and Principles

The journal includes main topics in social science such as anthropology, archeology, archaeometry, epigraphy, philology, history of art, conservation/restoration, history of architecture, history of museology and the topics related with social sciences, interpretations, approaches and theories. The journal includes original researches and reviews that bring scientific innovation, articles, news, excavation reports and book reviews in accordance with its scope.

In order for the articles to be published in our magazine, they must not have been published elsewhere or accepted for publication. The authors commit that the article they submit to the journal is unique and has not been published previously or sent to any other journal for publication even if it is on a different language. The articles presented at a scientific meeting but not published are acceptable for publication in our journal with the condition to be specified. If the article for publication is produced from a thesis of the author, it must be specified in the footnote that placed in one of the phrases in the first paragraph. The scientific responsibility of the manuscripts belong to the authors. A writer who submits a paper is considered to be committed that the editor, referee and scientific committee member’s right to not publish the articles and to make future amendments, corrections and additions thereto.
