Economic growth is a complex process that involves much more than physical capital formation alone. The buildings of modern. nations depend upon the development of people and the organization of human activity. As technological developments have altered produetion techniques, types of mechanical equipment and varieties of outputs, society has begun to recognize that economic progress involves not only changes in machinery but alsa in man. Investment in people makes it possible to take advantage of technical progress as well as to continue that progress. That is, education can be considered as one of the main ways of providing improvement in the quality of manpower for eoonomic growth.
However, this does not mean that education will cure all the problems of society, but we think it will not be wrong to say that without education and training no cure for any problem is possible. Although the precise measurement of education and training effects is still subject to debate, investment in education expands and extends knowledge, leading to advances which raise productivity and improve health.
In this paper we tried 1:0 explain contributions of education and training to economic development. The first part of this paper includes introductory knowledge whioh is necessary 1:0 explain what the effects of education and training in development are. The second part attempts to explain contributions of education and training toeeonomic development in terms of both agricultural and industrial growth.
