A research on the middle and upper pleistosen man cultures in Şenköy Antakya

Abstract

Discovery of Levalloiso-Mousterian and the Aurignacian culturs in the Mağracık caves is a important fect and now a nother Palaeolithic site found round the Şenköy in Antakya. The Tools which is found are belong Acheulean and Lovver and Middle Aurignacian but there is no indication yet about upper Aurignacian or Gravettien and Mesolithic periods. It is also found old Neolithic traces on the Şenköy terrases and one tool shovvs presusure flaking teknic.
