The results of the surgical treatment in congenital muscular torticollis

Abstract

21 children between 1-15 years of age who were treated for muscular torticollis were followed up 1 to years ( average 5 years months) after surgery. All patients had a distal open release of sternocleidomastoid muscle. For functional and cosmetic evaluation scoring system was used postoperatively. %80.9 good and satisfactory results were obtained.

Abstract

Yaşları 1-15 arasında değişen doğuştan musküler tortikollisli 21 çocuk postperatif en az 1, en çok 16 ortalama 5 yıl 5 ay takip edildi. Tüm olgulara Sternokleidomastoid adelesinin distal tenotomisi (monopolar tenotomi) yapıldı. Ameliyat sonrası fonksiyon ve kozmetik açıdan değerlendirmede puan sistemi kullanıldı. %80.9 iyi ve yeterli sonuç alındı.
