Cyst hydatid of pelvis-subtotal resection of the pelvic girdle

Abstract

Cyst hydatid of bone and joint is rare disease. Most of the patients are operated on with a preoperative diagnosis of tumor or tuberculosis and the correct diagnosis is made first during surgery. We report on one patient with hydatidosis of the left ischium caused by Echinococcocus Granulosus who was treated by limb sparing exicison of the hip nd pelvic bone with no reccurence and a good function.
