The effects of arthroscopically performed partial menisectomy and semi-arthroscopic repair of peripheral meniscus tear on ligamenteous stability

Abstract

In this study, the findings regarding one and multiplane stability of 26 patients underwent partial menisectomy (18 cases) and repair of peripheral meniscus tear (8 cases) via arthroscopic intervention were reviewed. By the use of the techniques mentioned above, anatomic integrity of the knee joint could be maintained. The patients with partial menisectomy and the ones with peripheral repair could be followed up for a period of approximately 6 months and 5 months respectively. The complains of the patients were no longly resisting on follow up examinations which revealed: a) In preoperatively AP and ML instabilities of grade 1-2 was observed to be disappeared. b) All patients in this study could return to their social and sportive activities in early postoperative period.

Artroskopik parsiyel menisektomi ve semiartroskopik menisküs periferik yırtık tamirlerinin ligamentöz stabiliteye etkisi

Öz

Artroskopik cerrahi ile 18 hastaya parsiyel menisektomi, 8 hastaya menisküs periferik yırtık tamiri yapılmış olup, toplam 26 vakanın üç ay sonraki tek ve multiplanda stabilite bulguları değerlendirilmiştir . Parsiyel menisektomi ve primer meniskal sütür ile, her iki fibrokartiajinöz oluşumların korunması sonucunda diz ekleini anatomik bütünlüğü sağlanmıştır. Parsiyel menisektomi yapılan hastalar ortalama altı, periferik tamir yapılanlar ise ortalama beş ay takip edilmişlerdir. Subjektif şikayetleri kalmayan bu hastaların yapılan kontrol muayenelerinde: a-Pre-operatif dönemde grade 1-2 anteroposterior ve mediolateral instabiliteler post operatif dönemde görülmemiştir. b- Çalışmamızda tüm hastaların erken sürede sosyal ve sportif aktiviteye başlayabilmiş olmaları uyguladığımız tekniğin üstünlüğünü ortaya koymaktadır .
