Arthroscopy in acute traumatic hemarthrosis of the knee

Abstract

Acute traumatic hemarthrosis of the knee should be considered as a severe injury. Initial management is of great importance. Significance of anterior cruciate ligament in knee stability is well known and unfortunately its disruptions account for the majority of these cases. Clinical and radiographic findings don't always reveal the correct diagnosis. Eventhough physical examination under general anesthasia may suggest on a high proportion of cases that the ACL is torn, it doesn't give information as regards the localisation and the extent of the injuıy and the accompanying lesions. Whatever the surgeons opinions about the management of acute ACL ruptures may be, the arthroscope is an invaluable tool in acute traumatic hemarthrosis of the knee.This is only a review of the current literature and is not based on clinical experience.

Dizin akut travmatik hemartrozunda artroskopi

Öz

Dizin akut travrmatik hemartrozu ciddi bir yaralanmadır. Erken ve doğru tanı çok önemlidir. Ön çapraz bağın diz stabilitesindeki rolü büyüktür ve maalesef bu ligamanm yaralanmaları hemartroz olgularının çoğundan sorumludur. Klinik ve radyolojik bulgular her zaman doğru tanıyı vermez. Genel anestezi altında fizik muayene ile çoğu olguda ön çapraz bağ yırtığı tanısı konabilmesine rağmen bu yolla yırtığın yeri derecesi ve birlikteki diğer lezyonların saptanması çoğu zaman mümkün değildir. Ortopedistin akut ön capraz bağ yırtıklarının tedavisindeki görüşü ne olursa olsun, artroskop dizin akut yaralanmalarında çok değerli bir araçtır. Bu yazıda son literatürler gözden geçirildi ve konu ile ilgili,en yeni bilgiler verilmeğeçalışıldı.
