Arthroscopy in degenerative arthritis

Abstract

From 1985 through 1989, 142 patients with osteoarthritis of the knee joint were opereted on using arthroscopic technigues. The mean follow -up was 2.8 years and the average patient age 44 years. The result emphasize that succesfull treatment is correlated with the removal of the mechanical obstructions and the gravity, localization and configura tion of the chondral damage.

Abstract

1985-1989 yılIarı arasında Anadolu Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesinde Ortopedi kliniğine başvuran ve dizlerinde dejeneratif artrit tesbit edilen 142 hastaya artroskopi uygulandı. Artroskopik cerrahinin sonuçlarının hastanın yaşına, ağırlığına, lezyonun şiddetine ve kıkırdak harabiyetinin derecesine bağlı olduğu gözlendi.
