Injuries to the posterior cruciate Iigament and treatment

Abstract

Primary repair of PCL is not a commonly used method of treatment. When isolated PCL injuries are not treated, they cause instability of the knee and in cases where PCL injuries are seen along with the capsul ligament lesions, severe instability develops.Primary PCL repair has been done in 6 knees of 5 patients at the Department of Orthopedics and Traumatology of Social Security Hospital in Buca, in the years 1988 and 1989.
