Abstract

Acute inflammation in osteoarthritis of the knee is tated by cryotherapy, rest and analgesic, antiinflammatory drugs and when the joint, is relatively painless active exercises are begun, If there is no acute inflammation hot copresses, limitation of the patient’s activities, weight reduction ant strengthening quadriceps exercises are necessary, Isometric active exerises before a total knee arthroplasty and splinting of the joint in cooperation with the surgeon, who performed the operation, is of geat importance in the physical therapy of patients after total knee arthrosplasty.

Gonartrozda fizik tedavi ve rehabilitasyon

Öz

Gonartrozda akut inflamasyon durumunda krityoterapi eklem istirahati, analjezik, antiinflammatuar tedavi ağrı geçince aktif egzersizler uygulanır. İnflamasyon yoksa sıcak uygulama aktivite azaltımı, kilo verdirilmesi ve quadriceps egzersizleri uygulanmalıdır. Total diz protezleri öncesinde izometrik aktif egersizler ve ameliyat sonrası dizin ekstansiyonda atellenmesi gereği önemli noktalardır. Postoperatif dönemde fizik tedavide ameliyatı yapan cerrah ile kooperasyon çok önemlidir.
